Charles W. Collins, M.D. |
Charles Williamson Collins, MD, MBA is a native of Cleveland, Ohio, and to this day remains an avid Brown’s fan. He received a Bachelor of Arts from Case Western Reserve University, Doctorate of Medicine from the University of Toledo, and Masters of Business Administration from the University of Cincinnati College of Business.
Initially beginning his medical career in internal medicine, Dr. Collins completed training in Adult Psychiatry at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine, and Child Psychiatry at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center. Currently, Dr. Collins practices Child Psychiatry at Central Clinic, the Department of Psychiatry’s urban practice site, and serves as Director of its Children’s Division. |
Dr. Collins is very involved in medical student and resident teaching, and serves in several capacities in the Office of Student Affairs. He is currently the Associate Dean of Diversity & Community Affairs. In addition, he is involved in personal and academic counseling for all students, and serves as advisor for several student groups.
Dr. Collins is very interested in the professional growth and development of all medical students at the University of Cincinnati and aspiring medical students around the nation. He is willing to work with and assist students as the need arises. He is a full time faculty member, and is on campus every day. | Kenneth Davis, Jr. is a native Cincinnatian , he is a 1968 graduate of Woodward High School and received a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from the University of Cincinnati. He attended St. Louis University School of Medicine where he obtained his M.D. degree. Dr. Davis then did an Internship and Residency in General Surgery at Harlem Hospital Center in New York, followed by a Fellowship in Critical Care Medicine. He spent the next 2 years as an instructor in Surgery at New York Medical College. In 1984, he came to the University of Cincinnati as an Assistant Professor of Surgery. Dr. Davis served in that capacity until 1991 when he was promoted to Associate Professor of Surgery. Dr. Davis was promoted to Professor of Surgery and Clinical Anesthesia in 2000. Dr. Davis also served as the Director of the Division of Trauma/Critical Care from 1991-1998. |
Kenneth Davis, Jr., M.D. |
He has done clinical research in the areas of respiratory failure and mechanical ventilation. He has co-authored over 60 publications. From 1997 until 2003 he served as an Assistant Dean for Medical Education. He is currently a Vice Chairman of the department of Surgery focusing on faculty development and diversity and Assistant Dean For Diversity and Community Affairs. Dr. Davis has served on many committees at the College of Medicine, including the Curriculum Committee, the Promotions Board, and the Admissions Committee. At The University Hospital, he served as the Chair of the Transfusion Committee and chaired the Special Care Units Committee. Dr. Davis currently is on the Community Advisory Board for Net Wellness at the University of Cincinnati and chairs its Minority Advisory Committee. He has also served on the Board of Trustees at Planned Parenthood, serving on the Nominating Committee and chairs the Medical Committee. He is a member of the Caracole Board of Directors. He is a member of 100 Black Men. |
